Jamie's love of the culinary arts was inspired by her mother and grandmothers very early in life, and continues to grow. At the age of 10 she was diagnosed with a severe dairy allergy. In order to eat for her health Jamie started cooking specifically to her dietary needs, and has been enjoying the challenges of that ever since. She began working in professional kitchens during college to find further culinary education, and experience dedication to her passion. She's cooked in kitchens from North Carolina, Texas, Minnesota, New York, and Italy, studying and working for chef's who prioritize fresh, organic foods, traditional as well as innovative cuisines. Cultivating fresh food, and cooking creatively brings Jamie great joy, even more so when the food won't cause any allergies to flare up! Artichokes are not only her favorite food, but favorite flower as well!

I was never a broccoli fish guy... or a fish guy... but CU has me swimming. This one, especially! It might be my favorite dish. Maestro! ;)

Brooke received her Masters of Science at New York University and completed her dietetic training at Mt. Sinai Hospital in affiliation with NYU. She is the founder of B Nutritious, a private nutrition counseling and consulting firm located on the Upper East Side.
