She started as a saucier at China Grill New York and sous chef at Campanile in Los Angeles, to being chef de cuisine at Nemo in Miami Beach and executive chef at Anise Tavern in Miami. Her wide-range of experience in some highly regarded restaurants led her to cultivate a philosophy of channeling joy and happiness to each dish she cooks.

I would have liked t...

I would have liked the salmon a little fresher, but it was still fresh enough to eat, and the risotto and sauce were pretty yummy!

Salmon was amazing, however risotto doesn't travell or re-heats well.

Better than my last restaurant meal. Salmon was excellent. Risotto probably got a bit crunchy reheating in the oven rather than microwave.

Salmon was OK. Would have been nice to have had a vegetable with the risotto (and less risotto).

The risotto was very good, the salmon tasted very good but the actual piece of fish had some blood/bright red parts which I have never seen before on salmon. I had to eat around it.

We'd like to welcome nationally recognized nutrition expert, author and New Yorker Brooke Alpert to our CookUnity.

Brooke received her Masters of Science at New York University and completed her dietetic training at Mt. Sinai Hospital in affiliation with NYU. She is the founder of B Nutritious, a private nutrition counseling and consulting firm located on the Upper East Side.

She will work with our artisan chefs community creating even healthier, tastier, more balanced and conscious meals for you to enjoy.
