Born and raised in Japan, Reiko has lived in Manhattan for the last two decades. Growing up, her mother baked fresh bread every morning, and served perfectly-prepared fish to her family each night. These early memories of delicious food made from simple, local ingredients are the cornerstone of Reiko's cuisine.  Reiko has worked in a pastry area at Bouley, taught cooking at the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE), and written a cook book called "New York-style desserts". For the last several years she has shared her love of cooking local, seasonal produce with her Private Chef clients in Manhattan and the Hamptons.

We'd like to welcome nationally recognized nutrition expert, author and New Yorker Brooke Alpert to our CookUnity.

Brooke received her Masters of Science at New York University and completed her dietetic training at Mt. Sinai Hospital in affiliation with NYU. She is the founder of B Nutritious, a private nutrition counseling and consulting firm located on the Upper East Side.

She will work with our artisan chefs community creating even healthier, tastier, more balanced and conscious meals for you to enjoy.
