Beefy Baked Mac and Cheese

This dish is an ode to Chef Chris’ childhood favorite. Hamburger Helper, but made with fresh ingredients, from scratch with a lot of love. Chef slowly renders seasoned ground beef with garlic and onions, then pairs it up with his classic ooey, gooey mac and cheese. Topped off with some Pepper Jack cheese and seasoned bread crumbs and baked off for that perfectly crisp top, and creamy center. This meal will do well in both the microwave or the oven, it just depends on if you prefer the cheese topping more on the crispier side. A tip from Chef Chris: if you go the oven-route, microwaving it for two minutes first cuts down baking time significantly.
