I don't know why, but this tasted "off" for me. Too much dumpling dough - too thick. And not enough seasonings in the chicken stuffing.
Sauce of course remains excellent.

Very bland and tasteless. The inner meat texture was dense. The noodles were great though.

Need more meat per dumpling but amazing

Too many dumplings would like it with some more sides, such as a veggie more dipping sauce.

Very good flavor with and without dipping sauce. Definitely will order again.

The outside was a bit thick - had a doughy nature to it

It was ok, I guess I expected my local dumplings

Tasted like unseasoned ground pork in a thick dumpling wrap. I was very disappointed. Felt like they were missing all of the internal ingredients that makes them authentic.

Not only did I warm it in the microwave I also pan-fried it to see if it would be less doughy. The dumplings were very very doughy and the filling did not have much flavor

Generous portion. Nice texture. A little bland - which likely appeals to most.
Chefs Wanting Zhang and Yong Zhao grew up in Northern China, met in college in Beijing, and went to Yale for graduate school. Zhang and Yong shared a common love for the food they grew up with and missed eating authentic and healthy Northern Chinese food every day. They loved the diverse flavors of their home so much that they opened the first Junzi Kitchen in New Haven in 2015 to share their favorite dishes with their classmates and community. Since then Junzi Kitchen has been an institution beloved by Chinese and non-Chinese diners alike, eventually opening in New York City as one of the highest reviewed Chinese restaurants. Through CookUnity, they're excited to share those healthy and delicious traditional recipes with you.
