Craving comfort food? This timeless Italian classic marries robust flavors and soothing simplicity. Strands of al dente spaghetti and tender, handcrafted beef and Italian sausage meatballs are generously coated in Chef Sylvia Arevalo’s authentic Napoli sauce, a robust, slow-simmered blend of vine-ripened tomatoes, garlic, and aromatic herbs, including basil, oregano, and thyme. The Parmesan garnish adds a pop of salty, umami richness. Break out a bottle of your favorite red, toss together a simple green salad, and you’ve got a hearty dinner to enjoy anytime.

About Silvia Arevalo

Chef Silvia, a native of Mexico, hails from a family deeply rooted in entrepreneurship, having been raised by merchant parents. Her formative years were spent contributing to various family enterprises, including grocery stores, bakeries, taquerias, and churrerias, instilling in her a strong work ethic under the guidance of her entrepreneurial father.
Upon arriving in Atlanta at the age of 24, Chef Silvia immersed herself in the culinary world, honing her skills in Italian restaurants over several years. A shift in career focus led her to dedicate herself to social work, particularly aiding immigrants who were victims of crime. However, the challenges brought about by the pandemic became a pivotal moment for her, prompting a reevaluation of her career trajectory and aspirations.
Mangia La Pasta, a longstanding dream, materialized after almost a year of meticulous planning and preparation. With the invaluable assistance of her sister, Chef Silvia brought this vision to life. Subsequently relocating to Austin to embark on a new chapter as a business owner, she welcomed her brother Ignacio to the team soon after the restaurant's opening.
Chef Silvia's culinary objective is to craft uncomplicated yet delectable recipes that accentuate the essence of home-cooked Italian cuisine. Eager to contribute to the dynamic and thrilling food scene of the Texas market, she is thrilled to introduce Mangia La Pasta to the region. With an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, Chef Silvia invites you to experience the culinary delights she passionately creates. Buon Appetito!
