Tubes of penne pasta are tossed in a rich Rosa sauce—built from slow-cooked tomatoes, garlic, and herbs, then finished with cream, parmesan, and garlic butter. Sauteed red peppers, mushrooms, and wilted spinach bring a nutrient-rich boost, while shredded mozzarella melts over the top. It’s a warm, mellow bowl of comfort, where bright tomato and velvety cream meet.

This was delicious. My question is where is the rest of it. Not all people are the same size and men eat more than women. I don’t want to pay for 2 meals but this is not enough food for me.

About Silvia Arevalo

Chef Silvia, a native of Mexico, hails from a family deeply rooted in entrepreneurship, having been raised by merchant parents. Her formative years were spent contributing to various family enterprises, including grocery stores, bakeries, taquerias, and churrerias, instilling in her a strong work ethic under the guidance of her entrepreneurial father.
Upon arriving in Atlanta at the age of 24, Chef Silvia immersed herself in the culinary world, honing her skills in Italian restaurants over several years. A shift in career focus led her to dedicate herself to social work, particularly aiding immigrants who were victims of crime. However, the challenges brought about by the pandemic became a pivotal moment for her, prompting a reevaluation of her career trajectory and aspirations.
Mangia La Pasta, a longstanding dream, materialized after almost a year of meticulous planning and preparation. With the invaluable assistance of her sister, Chef Silvia brought this vision to life. Subsequently relocating to Austin to embark on a new chapter as a business owner, she welcomed her brother Ignacio to the team soon after the restaurant's opening.
Chef Silvia's culinary objective is to craft uncomplicated yet delectable recipes that accentuate the essence of home-cooked Italian cuisine. Eager to contribute to the dynamic and thrilling food scene of the Texas market, she is thrilled to introduce Mangia La Pasta to the region. With an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, Chef Silvia invites you to experience the culinary delights she passionately creates. Buon Appetito!
