Tom Kha is a traditional Thai soup made with fragrant herbs, spices, and coconut milk. It's one of the most popular Thai soups and bears similarities to hot and sour soup, with just a hint of acid from lime juice. Chef Pimnapat packs the aromatic broth full of tender mushrooms and plump shrimp, then pairs it with a side of steamed jasmine rice to soak up the soup. A sprinkle of fresh cilantro completes the dish.

I wish I could give this one more stars. This soup is exceptional.

Unfortunately, the ingredients shift and there’s barely any soup on the side. That’s the soup side because it’s shifts over to the right side, but I still love the little soup that I can get out of it

As usual, this wasn’t soup. I have red/green curries from CU with way more liquid than these soups. Super confusing.

"soup" was 1/8 inch across the bottom of the container

As other reviews noted, it was just rice and shrimp when it arrived - and I prepared the day received. Taste is there but no broth. I love soup and Tom Ka Ga is my favorite soup. So I was disappointed. Was good as shrimp and rice but not as advertised. Dryness, not enough sauce/broth is the biggest reason I have not rated some dishes higher. I have gastroparensis and having enough sauce/broth makes a big difference in my ability to swallow a meal. Too dry, especially with proteins is a real problem for me.

Tasted good, but not soup (like the other one). There's more liquid in the red curry than in this. It's a mild curry w/rice, that's it. Tastes good, but not a soup by any stretch of the imagination.

Good flavor but this is not soup, just rice 4 shrimp and a small amount of watery broth

I like this a lot, but it certainly isn’t a soup by the time it arrives at my house

The meal was really delicious! But too much of the soup liquid spilled into the rice and got soaked up. So rice was a bit mushy and not enough liquid with the shrimp entree.
As some say, cooking is loving, which is definitely true for Chef Pimnapat Chancharoen. She was born in Thailand, a paradise for food lovers, and went to school for mechanical engineering. She had dreams of becoming a pilot, but ended up becoming a chef because her cooking made so many people happy. Chancharoen is inspired by Korean, Japanese, Cuban and Taiwanese cuisines, and her unique style reflects this vibrant mix of flavors. She started her own food truck in 2018 and opened a ghost kitchen for takeout and delivery in 2021.
