An Italian classic at its most comforting, this dish brings together seared chicken breast and pillowy potato gnocchi in a sauce that’s as rich as it is soothing. The cream base, lush with Parmesan, butter, garlic, and thyme, wraps itself around each bite of gnocchi, making the whole plate feel indulgent yet familiar. A final dusting of Grana Padano and a sprinkle of fresh parsley keep it bright and balanced.

We usually love this meal but this time there wasn't much chicken and both the chicken and gnocchi were pretty dry.

Good combination. Very satisfying

The gnocchi was too dry and mealy. I should have known this might be an issue when I saw that the instructions indicated I should add water to the dish before cooking. The chicken was subpar for sure.

I already know what people are going to think when they read this, but it's my opinion. It had entirely too much butter and the potatoes weren't like any potatoes I've ever had, they tasted like dumplings and didn't care for. The chicken was okay, just soaked in too much butter.
For much of the past two decades, Chef John DeLucie has been one of New York City's most popular chefs leading a number of restaurants like Bedford & Co, Ainslie, Empire Diner, The Lion, and The Waverly Inn. Upon returning to the States, DeLucie landed several jobs including Chef de Cuisine at the venerable seafood restaurant Oceana. Today, DeLucie's style remains as distinctively simple as it is universally praised. His newest restaurant, Merchants Social, opened in Hudson, New York, in 2022.
