Middle Eastern Mac and Cheese

Chef Einat's take on this American staple brings the best of both worlds: all the comforting creaminess of the original version with added Middle Eastern flair. Her mac & cheese is made with curly cavatappi pasta and a creamy béchamel sauce made with parmesan and sharp white cheddar cheeses, plus a little labneh to add just the right amount of tangy brightness. Basil and Swiss chard bring freshness and color, while a crunchy za'atar breadcrumb topping seals the deal with added texture and a punch of flavor. A sprinkle of fresh parsley and briny feta cheese finish the dish. You've never had mac & cheese like this, and after one bite, you won't want any other versions.
